Day in The Life of a 7.5 Month Old

33 weeks old

Because this week’s baby is often different from last week’s baby, I’d like to document her new schedule. She just stopped taking her 3rd nap one day and as I tried different lengths of awake time to see if that’ll get the 3rd nap back, I came to the conclusion she’s just getting older and I have to let go of the 3rd nap. *tears*

08:00 am – First feed, toilet time, purees, play
10:00 am – Nap
11:30 am – Feed, toilet time, purees, play
01:30 pm – Nap
03:30 pm – Feed, toilet time, play
05:30 pm – Purees, play
06:30 pm – Sit at dinner table with family for dinner
07:00 pm – Toilet time, Bath time
07:30 pm – Last feed, bedtime story and prayers with Daddy
08:00 pm – Bed

Day in the Life of 7 month old

31.5 weeks old

8am – first feed, toilet time, wash face and rub gums, eat pureed breakfast, tummy time
9:30ish am – nap (for baby and I)
11-11:30ish am – feed, toilet time, lunch puree, play time (exersaucer or playpen etc)
12:30-1ish pm – nap
2-2:30ish pm – feed, toilet time, go for walk, jolly jumper, read
3:30-4ish pm – nap
5-5:30ish pm – feed, toilet time, dinner puree, play while Mommy makes dinner
7pm – family dinner time at the table
7:30pm – bath time with Daddy
8pm – last feed, then story time and prayers with Daddy
8:30-45ish pm – sleep until morning!

She’s still on a 3ish 3.5ish hour feed schedule. Her awake time has increased from 1.5 to 2 hours between naps. And her last nap is becoming a short 45 minute nap as opposed to a full 1.5 hour nap. I anticipate in the next month or so she might lose the third nap and hopefully her meal times will better line up with ours. I’ll also need to figure out more discovery/activity stuff she can do during her awake time. Growing so fast….sigh.

Day in the life of a 4.5 month old

19.5 weeks old

On a three hour feed schedule:

08:00 am – wake and feed, put her on the toilet and hope to catch a pee or poo, then tummy time and exercises
09:30 am – nap time
11:00 am – feed, toilet, independent blanket play time with her stuffies on the floor, tummy time, read a book or two with Mommy
12:30 pm – nap time
14:00 pm – feed, toilet, independent blanket play time, play pen time, tummy time
15:30 pm – nap time
17:00 pm – feed, toilet, tour the house with Mommy, play pen time, tummy time
18:30 pm – accompany Mommy and Daddy at the dinner table
19:30 pm – bath time
20:00 pm – feed, bible verse/story, prayers and bed time

I need to work in a walk into that schedule….
I’m also trying to work her into a 3.5 hr feed schedule. I started trying it a few weeks ago and it seemed to be working but then she regressed into having meltdowns at every nap time through the day. Her naps were getting completely shot…so Ms PR recommended I go back to the 3 hr schedule and see if that’ll help….so that’s what we’re trying again.

Here’s the 3.5 hr schedule that worked for about a week:

08:00 am – wake and feed, put her on the toilet and hope to catch a pee or poo, then tummy time and exercises
10:00 am – nap time
11:30 am – feed, toilet, independent blanket play time with her stuffies on the floor, tummy time, read a book or two with Mommy
13:30 pm – nap time
15:00 pm – feed, toilet, independent blanket play time, play pen time, tummy time, tour the house with Mommy
17:00 pm – cat nap time
18:00 pm – feed, toilet, accompany Mommy and Daddy at the dinner table
19:30 pm – bath time
20:00 pm – feed, bible verse/story, prayers and bed time

It’s usually nearly 9pm by the time she’s in bed and she’ll also usually sleep straight until 6 or 7am. I give her a quick feed and put her back to bed until her “first feed” at 8am. We’ve also found she likes warm rooms…25-27C preferably. Any cooler and she’ll wake at 3 or 4am.

What are your schedules like? What’s your bedtime routine?
